Linux via Proton and Steam Deck
Goo Deer supports Linux via Proton and Steam Deck in addition to native Windows. The specifications above are the Windows targets; under Proton on Linux or Steam Deck the same hardware profile applies, so aim for at least the minimum spec (a GTX 1060 / RTX 2060 class GPU and 8 GB RAM) for a smooth shift.
Performance notes
- Storage is light — only 4 GB, so it installs quickly even on modest drives.
- A modern GPU matters — the xx50-class lower tier is explicitly not recommended; aim for at least a GTX 1060 / RTX 2060 class card.
- 16 GB RAM in the recommended spec helps once you run a busy station with employees and co-op teammates.
