Goo Deer Gameplay Guide 2026: How to Run the Station and Survive the Fog

Goo Deer pairs a first-person gas station management loop with a tense fog-survival hunt. Since the free Goo Deer 2.0 update (October 31, 2026), it also supports online co-op for up to four players at no extra cost. This guide walks through the core loop so you can keep the Goo Deer flowing without the shift falling apart.

The core loop: day and night

Goo Deer splits into two connected activities:

1. Run the station — stock shelves, craft and sell different Goo Deer flavors, serve the growing line of customers, and manage inventory.
2. Enter the fog — the ingredients are outside. Leave the safety of the station, hunt deer in the misty forest, and avoid the dangerous creature moving through the fog.

Work the shift together (Goo Deer 2.0 co-op)

Goo Deer 2.0 added up to four-player online co-op. A few tips that make co-op smoother:

• Share one wallet. Money is pooled, so coordinate pricing and restocking instead of competing.
• Split roles. One player runs the register while others craft, stock, or head into the fog.
• Hunt as a pack. Revive downed teammates before the fog takes them — the 2.0 update introduced teammate revival, so a downed partner is not the end of the shift.
• Co-op achievements. 2.0 shipped 10 co-op achievements (part of the game’s 26 total Steam Achievements) built for team play.
• Host flexibly. Run a public or password-protected game, or join a friend straight from a Steam invite.
• Solo-only staff. Note that hired employees are available in solo play only — in co-op you rely on your teammates, not hired help.

Run the night shift

As demand rises, balance resources, staff, and production:

• Craft multiple flavors of Goo Deer to satisfy different customers.
• Hire employees (solo play) to keep the station moving when you’re busy.
• Watch the door — not every customer plans to pay. Shoplifters and trouble are part of the shift.

Keep the Goo Deer flowing

Expand the station without letting an empty shelf or a bad decision halt the shift. Keep inventory topped up, price for margin, and don’t over-extend into the fog when the store needs you.
