VML Studios has released Goo Deer 2.0, a free update for owners of the paid game, on October 31, 2026. The headline feature is online co-op for up to four players, turning the previously solo-focused horror gas station sim into a shared night shift.

What Goo Deer 2.0 adds
Up to four players can now run one shared store and one shared wallet, restock shelves, serve customers, and head into the foggy forest to hunt deer for ingredients — while avoiding the dangerous creature that stalks the mist. The 2.0 update’s full changelist:
- Online co-op (up to 4 players) — share a store and wallet, split the stocking, pricing and register work, and hunt as a pack.
- Teammate revival — bring downed co-op partners back before the fog claims them.
- 10 co-op achievements — new Steam Achievements built for team play (the game now has 26 total).
- Rebuilt leaderboards.
- 24 new text languages, bringing interface and subtitles to 25 languages in total (full audio remains English only).
- Hundreds of fixes.
- Note: hired employees remain available in solo play only.

How it plays in co-op
Co-op keeps the core loop intact — run the station, craft and sell Goo Deer flavors, manage the night shift, then leave the pumps to hunt deer in the fog — but adds coordination. Because the wallet is shared, teammates price and restock together rather than compete, and a downed partner can be revived instead of ending the run. Host a public or password-protected game, or join a friend straight from a Steam invite.
Pricing and platforms
Goo Deer 2.0 is a free update; the base game is priced at $6.59 (-34% off $9.99) on Steam US through November 14, 2026. The game runs on Windows (native), Linux via Proton, and Steam Deck.
