CPM 2 is “built for PC” in a way the original never was. The Steam version is adapted for desktop hardware, and for driving-game fans that means one thing: proper peripheral support.

Key Takeaways

  • CPM 2 on PC supports racing wheels with Force Feedback.
  • The game is adapted for ultra-wide monitors and a range of resolutions.
  • Controls are reworked for keyboard, mouse and gamepads, not just touch.
  • PC adds higher-resolution textures versus the mobile build.

Racing Wheel Force Feedback

The marquee PC feature is support for racing wheels with Force Feedback. For a sandbox built around cruising, drifting and drag launches, a Force Feedback wheel changes how the car communicates — you feel the slide in a drift event and the bite off the line in a drag. It is the single biggest reason many players waited for the PC version.

On a Force Feedback wheel the difference is immediate — you feel the rear step out mid-drift and the front bite under a drag-launch throttle, which is exactly why many players held out for the PC build over the touch-only mobile version.

Ultrawide and Resolution Support

CPM 2 is adapted for a wide variety of display resolutions, including modern ultra-wide monitors. A wider field of view helps in a living city where threats (and meet-ups) come from the periphery, and it simply shows off the car models and environments better.

Reworked Controls for Desktop

Touch is gone; the PC build is reworked for desktop input. CPM 2 handles keyboard and mouse, gamepads, and racing wheels, so you can switch peripherals without fighting the camera or the menus. That matters in a game where you might drift with a wheel one minute and walk a character with a pad the next.

Higher-Resolution Textures

Beyond input, the PC version carries higher-resolution textures, which pairs naturally with the ultrawide and higher refresh displays desktop players use. On the original mobile title, density and detail were necessarily scaled back; the PC build closes that gap.

PC System Requirements

CPM 2 is light for a 2026 sandbox. The minimum spec is Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i3-10100 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB RAM and integrated-class graphics (Intel Iris Xe / AMD Vega 8 or GeForce GT 1030 / Radeon RX 550). The recommended spec steps up to a Core i5-13400F / Ryzen 5 7500F, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1650 / RTX 3050 or better, with 7 GB of storage either way.

For the world these wheels plug into, our guide to CPM 2’s full crossplay ecosystem explains the shared servers, and the Drag, Circuit, Drift and Rally breakdown shows where to put that Force Feedback to work. Full specs are on the CPM 2 Steam page.

Racing wheel Force Feedback support is the reason I waited for the PC version. CPM 2 on a wheel with ultrawide is a totally different feel from the mobile game.

Ultrawide support out of the box is a nice touch, and the reworked PC controls actually respect keyboard, gamepad and wheel. The texture resolution bump is noticeable too.

If you have a Force Feedback wheel, CPM 2 is worth it on PC alone. The drift events become tactile instead of a thumbstick chore.
