Центральное место в обновлении занимает перевал Пендола — заснеженная локация, окружённая горами. На карте есть небольшая деревня и транспортный узел «Исход», но главная достопримечательность — павший Император, чья огромная оболочка доминирует над пейзажем. Вместе с картой появятся три типа противников: «Задира» — четвероногий ARC, который неустанно преследует игроков, одновременно ведя огонь. «Скрытник» — более мелкий враг, устраивающий засады на рейдеров и быстро отступающий после атаки. «Гидра» — ARC-турель с тремя комплектами орудий. Атаковать её придётся с разных сторон. Отдельного внимания заслуживает фрегат — огромный корабль, на который игроки поднимутся в поисках добычи. Embark Studios готовит полноценную презентацию крупного обновления Frozen Trail для ARC Raiders. Подробности патча разработчики раскроют 23 сентября, а его релиз запланирован на 8 октября. Обновление станет первым масштабным дополнением после перехода студии на новую модель выпуска контента. Игроков ждёт новая карта с более выраженной вертикальностью, а также новый опасный противник из числа машин ARC. Отдельно разработчики должны рассказать о дальнейшей судьбе экспедиций. После завершения пятой итерации режим может существенно измениться или вовсе исчезнуть из игры, однако окончательное решение пока не раскрыто. The fifth Expedition window is fast approaching, and with it come a few changes. Based on your feedback, in upcoming Expeditions you’ll be able to opt out of resetting your quest progress, the departure window will be extended by one week, and there won’t be the last call feature this time around. Additionally, we will be pausing Expeditions for a short while to dig deeper into the core systems and make them feel more rewarding and fun!
