About PolyTrack
You’re alone on the course against the clock. The tracks are wide enough to reward commitment and tight enough to punish sloppiness: sweeping bends that turn into hairpins, short chutes that beg for full throttle, and corners where the difference between a good lap and a great one is one meter of track position.
There’s no traffic and no rival cars — just you, the sector splits, and the ghost of your own mistakes. That purity makes every improvement legible. You can feel exactly where a lap was lost, go back, and fix it, which is the loop that keeps time-trial games installed for years.
How to Play
Steer with the arrow keys or A/D, accelerate with the up arrow or W, and brake with the down arrow or S. The goal is to cross the finish line with the fastest possible lap time.
Brake before the corner, hit the apex, and get back on the power early on exit — classic racing discipline carries over directly here. Learn where the track tightens unexpectedly, because a few of the turns hide their true radius until you’re already committed.
Tips
- Slow in, fast out beats bravery on entry every time. Late braking usually costs more time than it saves.
- Watch the splits after each sector to learn which corners are actually bleeding your lap.
- Reset early on a bad first sector; clean single-sector practice beats grinding full laps with a mistake baked in.
