Angry Birds Showdown

Same slingshot, twice the pressure. Angry Birds Showdown puts two players head to head on mirrored stages, where wrecking more of the enemy’s side than they wreck of yours decides the round. It is Angry Birds with a scoreboard and a witness to your missed shots.

About Angry Birds Showdown

Instead of fighting pigs alone, you compete against another slingshot user across a split battlefield. Both sides take turns launching birds, and points come from damage dealt to the opposing structures and any pigs you clear. The mirroring means the level you are memorizing is the level your opponent is also learning, so adaptation matters more than memorized solutions.

Rounds move quickly and stay friendly enough for kids, but the best-of format rewards consistency. One spectacular collapse can swing a match, and holding your nerve on the last bird when the score is close is a different skill entirely from single-player star hunting.

How to Play

Take turns with your opponent — player one uses one set of keys or mouse controls, player two the other, depending on the mode. Drag back the slingshot, aim and release as usual, tapping mid-flight to use each bird’s ability. Damage to the other side’s structures and pigs adds to your score; when both sides are out of birds, the higher score wins the round. Win enough rounds to take the match. Local two-player is the natural mode: one keyboard, one grudge.

Tips

  • Go after the biggest structure first — collapsing mass scores more than picking off stragglers.
  • Watch your opponent’s turn: their mistakes show you which angles actually work on that stage.
  • Do not chase the highlight shot when a simple direct hit keeps you ahead on points.
