No Man’s Sky just got its eeriest overhaul yet. Hello Games released Update 7.10, titled “Forsaken,” a free Halloween-flavored drop that pushes players to explore the unsettling corners of the galaxy. Reported by Nintendo Life’s Liam Doolan and sourced from the official notes at nomanssky.com, the update is live across every platform — and it marks the first time the survival-exploration sim has officially supported iPhone and iPad.

Forsaken Traders and the Dark Side of the Galaxy
The headline feature is the arrival of Forsaken Traders. Eerie trinkets now surface throughout the galaxy at infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters, and planetary dig sites. Spending too long near them draws the attention of hostile “boundary horrors” — a new threat class that makes scavenging feel genuinely tense.
Survive the encounter and you can summon a Forsaken Trader to trade for haunting frigate modules: cockpits, hull plating, and biomantic structural parts. The trader also sells a living larval cannon multi-tool, and engaging with the system unlocks unique titles plus a larval tank helmet customisation for your character.
Minimal HUD, Space Couriers, and Seamless Warping
Update 7.10 trims the on-screen clutter with a new Minimal HUD Mode, letting you dial the compass, hazard protection, and mission notifications down to a cleaner readout — ideal for screenshot runs or pure exploration.
Two quality-of-life systems change how you travel and trade:
- Space Courier Missions — if you own a frigate and a gravitino ball, you can pick up parcel-delivery contracts at deep-space outposts.
- Seamless Warping — you can now target a star in an adjacent system and warp directly from space, without opening the galaxy map. Mission destinations show an icon when they are inter-system.
The Multi-Tool Mode Wheel adds a radial menu for swapping multi-tool modes on the fly, and Space Holo-Arenas spawn unique, combat-configured challengers at deep-space outposts for players who want a fight.
Quality of Life, UI, Audio, and Engine Work
The patch notes are broad. Quality-of-life changes let you upload orbital base builds to the server, pin deep-space materials, catalogue space-station exterior decorations, add frigate landing pads to planetary trade outposts, place oxygen harvesters anywhere on a surface, and rework the research-tree layout.
UI and controls pick up fixes for mission-notification flicker, text truncation, a VR left-handed issue, and ultrawide UI. Audio corrections cover frigate missions, Minotaur AI, music tracks, and repeated freighter-engine sound effects, alongside improved warp audio. Miscellaneous bug fixes resolve void-egg living-ship summons, freighter combat positioning, a few soft-locks, biological-warfare XP balance, and save-reload module snapping.
On the engine side, Hello Games improved teleport-menu performance, sped up loads on older consoles, addressed multiplayer frigate issues, and cleaned up visual smear and particle direction.
No Man’s Sky on Switch, Switch 2, and Now iOS
The update is a full cross-platform push, but it is notable for Nintendo players: No Man’s Sky already runs on Nintendo Switch, and the dedicated No Man’s Sky – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launched without cutbacks. The bigger headline for 2026 is first-ever iPhone and iPad support, extending Hello Games’ “it runs anywhere” philosophy to mobile Apple devices.

That is what Update 7.10 “Forsaken” delivers so far. We’ll keep this page updated as Hello Games ships any follow-up fixes after the Halloween 2026 launch.
No Man's Sky Forsaken is exactly the Halloween update I wanted. Hunting haunted frigate modules and dodging boundary horrors makes the abandoned freighter runs actually scary now.
First iPhone and iPad support for No Man's Sky is a bigger deal than it sounds. Hello Games quietly turned a 2016 game into a true cross-platform survival sim.
Seamless warping without the galaxy map is the quality-of-life win I didn't know I needed. Update 7.10 on Switch 2 runs great so far.
